Kraken Sense is a biotechnology company that develops an automated pathogen sensing platform, utilizing a cloud-based AI platform and fluidics-based chip system. We are expanding our team and looking for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team. The role will be based in our Oakville office.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our team at Kraken Sense. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting and selling our data and analytics solutions to prospective clients in the scientific research community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and increase market share within the scientific research industry.

  • Identify and engage with key decision-makers at research institutions, universities, and other organizations to understand their data and analytics needs.

  • Demonstrate product expertise and effectively communicate the value proposition of SciLeads solutions to potential clients through presentations, demonstrations, and consultations.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships and drive customer retention.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience and address any client concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in technical sales, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Knowledge of the scientific research industry and familiarity with data and analytics solutions is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
